Upon Connect Target Bed Temp set to 7390

What is the problem?
Immediately after pressing the Connect button in octoprint, the target temperature of the bed is set to 7390. I am not sure if this is a Marlin 1.1.9 firmware issue or it is a OctoPrint issue... Could someone please kick me in the right direction?

What did you already try to solve it?
Narrowed down that the issue is only related to pushing the Connect button in OctoPrint. It is not related to power cycling the Creality 3d CR10-s

I would guess that the thermistor setting is wrong in your firmware.

I could see how having the wrong thermistor setting would impact the temperature reading, would you expect it to impact the target temperature as reported back by the firmware?

I could suggest that it's the only error which could result in what you're seeing.

I also know that Creality in the past had a problem "picking" hardware. This is an inventory/fulfillment term which relates to the labor in fetching the correct part(s) and putting them into a box. I've done logistics/inventory in the past and I know that it's difficult to get minimum-wage people to correctly fill a box with the right parts unless you create bullet-proof processes so that it minimizes the mistakes.

Creality often put the wrong thermistors into the boxes and/or flashed the wrong firmware onto the controller boards.

You might want to check in with the Creality support forum and ask for a fix. I don't know if they'll provide a different thermistor or if they'll provide a different custom firmware or if they'll attempt to talk you through an Arduino IDE session.
